2.    “Heal” Rome has a strong health care cluster with four large medical institutions (Floyd Medical Center, Harbin Clinic, Redmond Regional Medical Center, Kindred Hospital), the Northwest Georgia Clinical Campus of Georgia Regents University which trains 3rd and 4th year medical students, and several clinical research organizations conducting a wide range of clinical trials.

3.    “Teach” Education is a strong local asset, with four higher education institutions (Berry College, Shorter University, Georgia Highlands College, Georgia Northwestern Technical College), a private international boarding school (Darlington School), and the Floyd County College & Career Academy, a charter school that has set a national standard for innovative STEM education.
